How to Set Up Amazon Price Discounts
Amazon price discounts are a powerful tool to boost customer engagement and increase click-through rates (CTR) on your product listings.
They were recently launched as a new way to combine normal discounts along with event-specific discounts like Prime Exclusive discounts.
These price discounts are able to run for up to 30 days and can be offered to Prime and/or all customers. You can read more about them from the Amazon Documentation here.
Offering price discounts makes your listings more attractive, as customers are often drawn to products that are available at a lower price. This can lead to more sales and increased visibility for your products in search.

How to Set Up Amazon Price Discounts:
Setting up price discounts is quick and easy! Follow these simple steps to get started:
- Log in to your Amazon Seller Central account.
- Click on the 3-dot icon on the left sidebar.
- In the menu, select Advertising and then click on Price Discounts to view the dashboard.

- After clicking on Price Discounts, a new dashboard will open that looks like this:

- Now, click on the option “Create a Price Discount” to move forward.

Fill in the details of your account:
- In the Country section, select the country where you want the price discounts to apply.
- In the Account section, your registered brand will be displayed.
- In the Event section, you can either select “No Event” if you want the discounts to run on normal days without any special occasion, or if you’d like to apply discounts for specific events, Amazon will automatically show upcoming event names.

- Set your start date. If you want the discount to start immediately, you can select today’s date, or you can schedule it for a later time if you want the discounts to occur at a future date.
- A great feature is that you can also set a start time and end time for the discount.
- Next, choose whether you want to give the discount to All Customers or only to Prime Customers.

- Then, set the Discount Type:
- You can choose to offer a Fixed Price or a Percentage Off.
- Below this, in the Internal Description section, enter a name for this promotion. This name will not be visible to customers; it’s for your reference only. For example, the name could be: “All Catalog – 15% Off – For 30 Days”.
Now, we need to add the products for which we want to apply Amazon price discounts.

- Once the products are successfully added, the next step is to commit the number of units for each ASIN that will be eligible for the discount.

After hitting the save option, you have successfully created the price discounts for your products. It will take some time to reflect the discounts on the product detail pages.
